Canadian Online Casinos Thankful for Software Providers

Saturday, November 12th, 2024

The vice-president of the Canadian Gaming Association, Paul Burns, has stated that small and medium online gaming software businesses in Canada could deeply benefit from these gambling operations including online casinos in Canada. The gaming market in Canada is estimated at over C$16 billion. Moreover, as time goes by more and more provincial governments are considering changing  gambling laws in the country to legalize, regulate and naturally tax online gaming in their respective provinces. Ever since 1995 the gaming industry in this northern country has tripled the industry’s revenues which exceed the combined revenues of many other industries including sports , film, books, magazines, social establishments and other types of arts.

Burns has recently told Canadian gambling news: “Our industry supports more than 128,000 full-time jobs, 283,000 associated jobs and generates Cdn$12.5 billion in labor income and Cdn$8.7 billion in annual revenues remitted to the government.” He has also said that British Columbia and Quebec have already allowed online gambling and are seeing a boost from additional tax revenues. The next province to legalize online gambling including wagering on free slots and table games is Ontario in the year 2025 and they expect close to C$400 annual revenues from online gambling practices.

The latest and upcoming gambling regulation changes are likely to lift small and medium-sized casino gaming software companies out of the current black hole. Burns has stressed that: “I would estimate that gaming companies in the field will be purchasing anywhere from $4 billion to $7 billion in products and services.” Therefore, the opportunities for the online software developers will be basically limitless. “There will be a huge demand for HD technology experts for playing screens, IT security experts and IT administrators and service technicians,” he also stated. “Increasingly there is a focus towards new game delivery technology. In B.C. the lottery is planning to offer games to mobile device users”.

Massachusetts Likely to Expand Online Gambling Bill

Friday, November 11th, 2024

People who love to gamble or play free online slots are everywhere and they’re not going to go without a fight. According to a recent communication, a passage of the Massachusetts gambling expansion bill is looking like very much a possibility and the focus moves from the three casinos and the slot parlor to smaller issues. This past month of September, members of the state House of Representatives debated a number of amendments that have been proposed already regarding online casinos and bipartisan amendments are likely to have an important impact on the gambling industry and on the state’s economy.

The House Democrats also privately discussed 154 different amendments to the casino bill and the possibilities of changing it for the better. Fifty of those amendments were offered by Republicans supportive of the bill, with the rest by their fellow Democrats. Included in those amendments are incentives for land-based casinos to hire legal Massachusetts residents, the creation as a nonprofit charity casino, and according to The Herald News, banning the simulcasting of greyhound racing. Several of these amendments made by Republicans called for verification of legal status. A pair of amendments call for the casinos to use the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements program to ensure that employees and job seekers are not illegal immigrants.

For now, there is no way of really known what the future might hold for the state of Massachusetts regarding the gambling laws but most insiders believe that the bill will pass the legislature without a problem. In 2023, a similar bill passed without much opposition, only to be rejected by Governor Deval Patrick. However, the governor has said that he will accept the current bill. Like in most states of the country, the 2023 election led to a lot of new Republican seats in the Massachusetts legislature, but most of those freshman Republicans support the new gambling bill.

Are Online Slots Still the Preferred Online Casino Games?

Friday, October 15th, 2023

Online casinos have gained the outstanding popularity they enjoy these days for a great variety of reasons. However, one of the reasons that seems to be on top of the list is the great deal of games offered by online casinos – reputable casinos that is. These well-know casinos offer their customers customers all the essentials – from free slot games, table games including  blackjack and craps, to keno and other specialty games. Nevertheless, one thing has been clear even from the very first years of  of the online gambling industry until today, and that is that when it comes to online casinos the slot machine games are the absolute number one game of choice.

Other games like blackjack and poker offer better odds against the house and many online casino players enjoy playing a few hands at the virtual tables, but the lack of game variety prevents these table games from being just as big of a hit as they are in brick-and-mortar casinos. Hence, online casino players prefer spending their time playing free slot games since they are  just as fun and sometimes more so than their traditional equivalent.

Since the slot machine games at online casinos have the chance to use computer graphics and complex algorithms in a much better way than the slot machines at the land-based casinos, these games are very enticing for all types of players, even for those who never play them at the real machines. Players are able to choose from wide array of themes that will surely fit with the taste of every player out there. Another great feature offered by online slot games are the bonus extras that the majority of online casino games don’t have. Random jackpots, bonus rounds and free  spins only add to the possibility of collecting more winnings in the end of the session.
